Who we are
Seren is built by Occam Arts Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17070483) with its registered office at Surrey Technology Centre, 40 Occam Road, Guildford, GU2 7YG, United Kingdom. For anything in this notice, we are the data controller.
Questions, requests, complaints: privacy@occamarts.com. A person reads that inbox, not a queue.
What we collect, and why
When you ask us for more information we collect your name, work email address and organisation, your current LMS if you choose to tell us, and whether you asked for a demo or ticked the updates box. Our systems also record an approximate country (derived from the network by our hosting provider, to help us spot abuse of the form) and the dates you contacted us or updated your details.
Deliberately not collected: your IP address, your browser details, or anything from tracking cookies. There aren’t any.
We use these details for two things, on two different legal bases:
Replying to you. Sending you the information you asked for, and arranging a demo if you asked for one. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who asked us to — you filled in the form; contacting you about it is the point.
News about Seren. Launch news, product updates and marketing — only if you ticked the “keep me posted” box, which is consent you can withdraw at any time: unsubscribe from any email, or write to privacy@occamarts.com. Leaving the box unticked doesn’t stop us replying to your enquiry.
Who processes it
Two companies process this data on our behalf, and only on our instructions:
Cloudflare hosts the site, stores form submissions in its D1 database, and runs the Turnstile check that keeps bots off the form.
Resend delivers the email that tells us you got in touch. Resend is a US company, so that email — containing your name, email address, organisation and LMS — leaves the UK; the transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses in Resend’s data processing terms.
We don’t sell or share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Twelve months from the last time you contacted us or updated your details, then it’s deleted. If you’ve consented to updates, we keep your details for as long as you stay subscribed. Want out sooner? Email privacy@occamarts.com and we’ll delete your record.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, stop using it, or hand it over in a portable format. Write to privacy@occamarts.com and we’ll respond within a month.
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d rather you told us first, so we can fix it.
Cookies
The site sets no analytics or tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. The Turnstile bot-check on the enquiry form is run by Cloudflare purely to tell people from bots; it doesn’t track you across other sites.
Changes to this notice
If what we collect or how we use it changes, this page changes first.
